Types of Computer

TYPES OF COMPUTER

There are three types of computers

(1) Analog Computer (2) Digital Computer (3) Hybrid Computer

ANALOG COMPUTER

A computer that uses analog techniques to process a data. This computer work continuously but not with accuracy. This computer, which deals with continuous physical data, are called analog computer. And those computer which works in flow of electrons is called analog computer e.g. thermometer, stopwatch. It is also represent data approximately and also work in single purpose.

DIGITAL COMPUTER

Digital computer is operation on discrete data. The represented as a string of binary. It represents data in the discrete number and processing data using the standard arithmetic operations. The digital computer work on binary digits (0 - 1) that 0 means off and 1 means on.

HYBRID COMPUTER

A computer uses both techniques analog and digital is called hybrid computer. Hybrid computer is combination of digital and analog both techniques is called hybrid computer. Hybrid computer works is desecrating number and approximately those computers are hybrid that represents number in prices, units approximately. Such as Petrol pump machines, Ultra sound machines etc.
